Before I even officially started my role as Executive Online Editor for Drake Magazine, the website crashed. And then everything was deleted. I recreated the website, doing everything from setting up hosting and installing Wordpress. I worked diligently to populate the website with content from previous semesters and the strongest articles from the print magazine. Before even knowing much more than the basics of CSS, I researched late into the night how to create what is now the About page. And to prevent an experience like mine from happening in the future, I created a comprehensive guide for future editors on how to update the site, post content, change passwords regularly, and most importantly, make backups.
